Tomori’s Injury Absence

Tomori last played for Milan on December 22 against Salernitana. He was substituted in the 66th minute of that 2-2 draw. Since then, the England international has missed 13 total matches, including 9 Serie A games, due to the muscle injury.

Importance of Tomori

Before getting injured, Tomori had been a key player for Milan. He made 16 Serie A appearances and scored 3 goals from his center back position. Tomori also played in all 6 of Milan’s UEFA Champions League group stage matches earlier this season.

Friday’s Match Details

AC Milan will host Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on Friday night. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:45pm local time in Italy.

Pioli gave a simple “Yes” when asked if Tomori would be in the Milan squad for the Lazio match. Tomori’s return will bolster Milan’s defense as they continue battling for the Serie A title.
